Long ago there was a boy from Kinshasa, the capital city of the Democratic Republic of Congo in Africa. The boy is named Ngomboko. He was a very good student throughout his school years. He got the good grades, he ended up with a decent job, and he got to marry the perfect woman. What more can a man ask for? Well, for Ngomboko, living in Africa just wasn’t enough. Everything changed once he moved to America and it is for the better. He now has a purpose; teaching students to aim for success. His name was Ngomboko, still is actually, but that isn’t what he gets called here in America. Here, people call him Lawrence.
Pittsburgh Steelers quarterback apologizes for his role in Thursday night’s in-game brawl.
Mason Rudolph, Pittsburgh Steelers quarterback, got into a brawl with Cleveland Browns opponent Myles Garrett. Garrett ripped off Rudolph’s helmet and hit him in the head with it.
The violent incident occurred towards the end of the Steelers’ 21-7 win over the host Cleveland Browns. The NFL hasn’t announced a punishment for Rudolph, however Garrett has been suspended for at least six games and so did two other players for less time.
Both the players did apologize for their actions. The article explores more into the fight and what happened.
The layout begins with the players apology. If the reader wants to continue, the article then goes into how the fight happened and finishes off Rudolph describing his actions in the fight. What is interesting about the article is that they lean towards the Steelers player side. The article comments about the Brown’s player but doesn’t include many statements from that player.
It was late last night. Darkness enveloped us as we left the building. We just got done decorating for our upcoming holiday event. The cool air hit us as we passed through the doorway. Shoving open the heavy doors. She had on her purple coat and camo hat; long brown hair that fell from beneath.
We stood outside for a bit. Looking at each other, I asked if she wanted to have the file to edit for tomorrow. She said sure, but probably wont touch it till class as she has to get up early for practice. Agreeing to her response, I told her, “good job” for the work she did in helping decorating and off we went. She got into her Pontiac and drove off as I walked home.

New born babies are dressed up in cardigans and ties at Allegheny Health Network’s West Penn Hospital in Pittsburgh.
In celebration of World Kindness Day, it is also to honor Pittsburgher Fred Rogers, “who modeled kindness and compassion to children,” said Stephanie Waite a spokesperson for the Allegheny Health Network.
The costumes were inspired by the iconic Mister Rogers, from “Mister Rogers’ Neighborhood”.
The parents got to have photos of their kids in cardigans and keep the outfit.

it twice.
His name is Rolf Rhodes and he
won $1 million dollars out of the “$4 million dollar Instant Jackpot” game out
of a gas station in Mendon, Massachusetts.
He previously won $1 million
dollars in 2018. Rhodes first winning ticket was in Milford, Massachusetts,
which is just a town next to Mendon. He is one lucky person.

and McDonald’s is celebrating it by bringing back their classic toys.

Buying food online has grown so
much that popular stores like Walmart and Hy-Vee are creating ‘dark stores’ to
get orders completed without the customers around.
It states on the CNN article,
that only 5% of US shoppers buy their groceries online, but the analysts expect
that number to rise in the years to come. This gives us room again when
shopping at the stores.
Tracie Tuttle, student, gives us
insight into what she thinks about the ‘dark stores’.

‘dark stores’ are useful for when the zombie apocalypse happens. Better to
think ahead and be prepared.
On Friday nights when he was younger, Tatum Gray would go with his parents to Friday Night Sand Beer League, a volleyball tournament. This began his love for the sport.
He started watching volleyball games, especially during the Olympics. When he had enough money, he got to purchase his first volleyball. Gray would practice by himself; hitting the ball against the garage. All his practice and hard work paid off. He got so good that he joined a club. Now he plays competitively.
Tatum Gray is a long way from home. Travelling all the way from Granbury, Texas, Gray decided to go to Morningside College. His athleticism has him playing for the volleyball team. He is planning on studying Advertising.
Gray travelled most of the states in the south but never ventured North. He appreciates the environment as he said, “I enjoy it here” and calls it “very pretty and green”.

Gonzalez filling his vehicle full of Krispy Kreme doughnuts.
Jayson Gonzalez, 21, has been traveling from Clive, Iowa and back to Minnesota to deliver Krispy Kreme doughnuts.
Minnesota’s last Krispy Kreme store closed in 2008. Gonzalez came up with the idea, because he coaches a soccer tournament in Iowa, he could pick up the doughnuts and bring them back to the Minnesotans.
It all began with his post on the Facebook Marketplace to see if anyone would want some Krispy Kreme doughnuts. That began his business as he instantly received responses and soon created a Facebook page called Krispy Kreme Run Minnesota.
The page updates the followers on quantities and pickup locations. There are 5,000 followers to the page.
The money Gonzalez makes is used to help pay for his college education. However, Krispy Kreme got into contact with Gonzalez and made him shut down his operations.
Krispy Kreme appreciated Gonzalez’s work for bringing the love of their doughnuts to the customers, so they offered to help Gonzalez’s goal and made sure he will be debt-free when he graduates in 2021.
