BlackBerry: ‘We’ve now restored full services’

Blackberry phone users have hit quite a bit of snag in the past week. The madness started on Monday in Europe and spread to North America, Asia, Africa, the Middle East and South America over the course of the next two days. Users could not send or receive e-mails or text messages. With Android and Apple Iphones sweeping the market, worries blackberry creators that they may lose customers off this. But with the problem now solved with just a little lag still in e-mailing.

With everyone today relying on technology this little thing that happened to the blackberry phones created panic for many users. I could not imagine how much people would freak out if the Iphone would crash or the Android. People today rely too much on technology and some would not be able to live without it.

God to include the bit about android and iphones, Andrew. These outages hurt Blackberry competitively. The BB is popular in politics and business. Neither is going to be satisfied with crappy service. The lead on the story does not reflect that relevance/importance.
