Ice Cream in Class

While sitting in journalism class the last thing I was expecting on a Thursday afternoon was to be served ice cream. But that’s is what indeed happened on this Thursday afternoon, the ice cream tasted like a root beer float in a small cup. Looking at it, I first thought that it was a normal chocolate and vanilla mixture in a cup. Once I tasted it though my initial thoughts on the look of it were wrong. The texture of it, i could tell it had been sitting out a decent amount of time by the slushiness of the ice cream, but I did not touch it. If I was to touch it, more than likely would have melted right off my hand. I couldn’t hear much while eating it, there was the occasional slush around while swirling the spoon around the cup. Overall the one afternoon of ice cream turned out to be very delicious.

The slushiness part is good. You tell me the texture is off, then show me why.
Carry that through, if you can, with delicious. How do you make delicious
clear to the reader?
