Man shoots wife on wedding day after she threw a plate of macaroni salad at him.

Richard and Laurette Brunson were married on the front porch of their home Saturday. About 30 relatives and friends attended the wedding

Following the ceremony, Richard shot Laurette with a .22 caliber handgun after she threw a plate of macaroni salad at him.

Walter Corse, one of their neighbors, had this to say about the incident… (insert audio)

The couple had been living together for four or five months before the wedding. The bride had 3 children who were there to witness the incident.

Marilyn Corse, Walter’s mother, also had some feelings about what happened… (insert audio)

According to hospital officials, Mrs. Brunson was shot in the abdomen, but is now in satisfactory condition.
