Couple Shoot
Yesterday night, a man shot his newly wed bride after she threw a plate of macaroni salad at him.
Richard and Laurette Brunson were married on the front porch of their home Saturday.
Which started off as a nice wedding, things escalated quickly. Richard shot Laurette with a .22 caliber handgun after she threw a plate of macaroni salad at him.
The couple moved into this neighborhood four or five months ago. Yet neighbor Michael Martin was completely surprised by this act of violence. (audio)
The bride had 3 children who all had to witness the incident with their own eyes. This was all Marilyn Corse, another neighbor, could think about. (audio)
By the time the police arrived, the groom was gone with his whereabouts still unknown.
According to hospital officials Mrs. Brunson is now in satisfactory condition.
