South Korea star Son Heung-Min to have facial surgery, putting World Cup at risk

Tottenham and South Korea forward Son Heung-Min is a major doubt for the World Cup in Qatar, after having to go under surgery following their last game.

During Tottenham’s champions league game against Marseille last night, Son collided with Marseille defender Chancel Mbemba, fracturing a part around his left eye.

The World Cup begins on November 20 for the South Korean national team. Whether Son will make it is in doubt. However assistant head coach Cristian Stellini said that Son was feeling better after the game and could even celebrate the team’s victory.

The audience here are soccer fans. More and more top players are getting injured ahead of the world cup now. Every new injury therefore is big news within the soccer world. Everyone feeling sad for the players, but also sad for themselves since everyone wants to see as much superstars at the world cup as possible. That is why saying “major fitness doubt for the World Cup” in the lead is very effective.

This article does not have a point of vies since it only states facts, quotes and dates of future games.

What you want to know now is an update on the player, something that this article could not contain already. But that is the only part which I could think of that I do not know yet after reading this article.

“More and more top players are getting injured ahead of the world cup now.” It seems to me the wise thing to do, if these games have to be played, is to do them without those who are headed to the World Cup. Is that possible?
