About me
My name is Marnix van Exel and I am from the Netherlands. At home, I have two brothers, who are a twin, one sister, my parents and a dog. With my 19 years I come second in the family line, with my brothers and sisters both being within a twee year reach of me. After having lived in Thailand and Poland for my father’s work between the ages 6 to 11, I moved back to my hometown in the Netherlands called Doorn. It is a small town in the center of the country with no more than 10,000 inhabitants.
My hobbies include traveling, any sports in general, and especially soccer. For that reason I moved across the globe in order to combine my passion for soccer and study as this would not be possible back home. I am now starting my second year playing for the Morningside Mustang’s soccer team where my 6″6 comes in handy as center back.
I am now majoring in Marketing, however whether this was the best option, I still do not know. This directly tells you I have no specific plans for the future. Honestly, I do not even know where I will be next year, or the year after that. When I was younger my dream was to become a professional soccer player. While the dream lives on, I have yet to come up with a new future plan.
