Steven Postolka Returns to Morningside College

2011 Morningside College graduate Steven Postolka returned to his former school to speak to students on Tuesday.

Originally from Sioux Rapids, Iowa, Postolka now works for the city of Sioux City as a lawyer. When asked about his current job, where he has been working at for a few years now, he said: “I love the people I get to work with and have a great job.” He wants to stay in Sioux City because he genuinely does enjoy his job, but also said that an opportunity to work for the state in Des Moines would be difficult to turn down.

Steven says that the most difficult part of his job is dealing with people and working with others. Sometimes his job is difficult when it comes to satisfying both parties, because one party may have unrealistic wants from a case. Sioux City gets sued around 10,000 times a year however, so there are sure to be some more difficult and easier cases within those as well.

Another perk of Steven’s job in Sioux City is having a set wage. He even said he is getting paid more for doing less work due to COVID-19 issues. Comparing that to his previous job, he was making a set amount per case rather than in total. It is safe to say that his work in Sioux City has worked out for him well, and this is just another story of a former Mustang being successful in the real world after college.
