Prepping and Calling: Covert’s time with Morningside Football
by Abby Koch–Since walking onto the Morningside campus, senior Jonathan Covert has been hands on with anything dealing with radio sports broadcasting. From working control room in the Morningside radio station to now a big role as a play by play announcer, Covert has become a familiar voice for Mustang football broadcasts.
Mustangs split against Concordia
by Abby Koch– Both women’s and men’s basketball took to the court Wednesday and faced the Concordia Bulldogs. Mustang women fell to the Bulldogs 88-77. Mustang men pushed for a last second 72-71 victory against Concordia. Both teams will be on the road to face University of Jamestown on Saturday.
Lindsay Williams: ODK Student Of The Month
by Mari Pizzini–Lindsay Williams has been chosen as Morningside College’s November Student of the Month. The college’s chapter of Omicron Delta Kappa (ODK) cast their votes in Williams’ favor at their November 10th meeting.
Koach Kommes
by Abby Koch–Through an opportunity with the men’s basketball team, senior Kyle Kommes has built up experience coaching and developing players. Kommes has been a part of the coaching staff for the team for now five years. But before helping with Morningside’s basketball team, he was helping with his high school basketball team.
