Back to Morningside news, Esports is heading into playoff week where three of the four teams are competing in a three round bracket. Rocket League, Valorant, and Overwatch. This Past Monday, Valorant tragically lost the best of 3 in map 3. With the recent release of Overwatch two, our Overwatch team has been on the grind, starting off strong. They are ranked first in the division and will be playing their first playoff game on Thursday. Rocket League Varsity with a record of 5-3 and ranked 4th in the division is playing against Carthage College on Friday. Rocket League J.V. on the other hand is 7-1 and ranked 2nd in the division. They will be playing Hastings College on Wednesday. Here is the captain of the Rocket League J.V. team, Seth Nelson, and he is going to tell us about the plans going into playoffs. (insert)

In sports, Morningside Football had clinched the GPAC championship with their recent win away against Concordia. This is their 12th consecutive GPAC win. This power house of a football team has been trucking through the competition and is undefeated. Morningside is playing Arizona Christian in the playoffs. In Morningside Business, students and professors traveled to the art gallery in downtown Sioux City for an event hosted by Ho Chunk. This event was a way for this company to spread their wings to Morningside students and professors and talk about how they got where they are. Offering internships and possible jobs in the future. Many of these speakers had started where we are today and grinded their way to the top of their jobs. Others start off in a different way by joining the internship program and it jump starting their lives. (insert) Here is Joao, a business major that had attended the event.
