An Embarrassing Moment
During Journalism, Nienke van Drunen got asked to tell me about a recent embarrassing moment of her. After some thinking, she came up with her ‘not so interesting’ story.
At the end of her volleybal practice her team played a final game. Two people would simultaneously sprint towards the net from both halves of the court and then side shuffle alongside the net facing each other. The point of the game was to play a game of rock-paper-scissor.
Nienke however did not make it to this point. She and her opponent on the other side of the net tumbled over each other as their legs locked right underneath the net. Asked if it hurt, Nienke replied:
‘Actually no, but everyone looked at me like I broke something. I just wanted to get up and keep playing’
Her trainings always get filmed, which means she can keep showing this embarrassing moment to whoever and whenever she wants. But was the worst about it?
‘Everyone was still laughing about it after training in the locker room.’

It wasn’t a big deal, but Nienke van Drunen’s embarrassing moment will live forever on video.
