A new link may have been found between Moderna’s Coronavirus vaccine and a rare heart problem in adolescents. The shot may cause inflammation of the heart muscle. 

Scientists currently advising the Center for Disease Control and Prevention are reviewing the latest day. As we await the decision on if the Pfiizer shot is recommended for young children. 

The heart effect is called Myocarditis which can cause symptoms like rapid or irregular heartbeat, chest pain and shortness of breath. 

We will be waiting on the results of these research to decide on if it is suggested to vaccinate the children in America.

Rodgers has received a lot of backlash since testing positive and he feels hes been attacked by quote “cancel Culture” The reigning National Football League most valuable player said he was immunized when asked about being vaccinated. The reporter never asked what he meant by this. We have a football fan from Sioux city to get his take on wether or not rodgers lied.

Kyle Rittenhouse has been on trial the past couple of weeks for a shooting that killed two and injured one. The shooting happened last year at Black Lives Matter protest in Kenosha, Washington. Kyle Rittenhouse was 17 at the time with an Ar-15. The defendant, Rittenhouse, is claiming self defense but the Jury will decide in the coming days. The case has been a rollercoaster for people following it as at times it looked like Rittenhouse might get his claim of self defense while others it did not. This court case has a lot of information to unravel and the future of Kyle Rittenhouse is in the Jurys hand.

Carly Benes uses the word confident to describe herself and gave me a couple good reasons why she sees herself as confident. One of the reasons is because she wears more non traditional clothing and less name brand stuff as she goes thrift shopping a lot. This is due to the fact she does not care what other people think. The best example of this is a story from high school. Carly went to a private school in Wahoo, Nebraska where the only thing the girls had a lot to wear were Khaki shorts. Carly and her friend fought to at least be allowed to wear skirts and eventually got that allowed. The part that showed confidence was how everyone made fun of them for wearing skirts but they kept on doing it. They did not care when other people were bullying them about it which takes an extreme amount of confidence.

I do not think the author did a good job because it was extremely biased. I do understand this though as the article is an opinion piece, but I feel he should have showed a little more of both sides. I personally do not have much of an opinion on the case as I have not followed it very closely but reading this article did not make me pick a side. This is also why I do not think it is very well written as clearly he was pushing a side but it had no affect on my opinion. 

I think this is news as it is probably one of or the biggest court case currently going on in the United States. I also think this case could cause a lot of backlash no matter what way it goes. I think this is valuable news as it is a widely discussed case and everyone is awaiting to see what the jury decides.

Aaron Rodgers tested positive for Covid-19 last week, and he felt he was a victim of “cancel culture” and “woke mob” The former MVP spoke on The Pat Mcaffe show. Rodgers talked about his views on the vaccine mandates and believes personal should determine what happens to an individual’s body. Rodgers said, “I believe strongly in bodily autonomy and the ability to make choices for your body” The backlash came from an interview that took place back in August before the season kickoff. A reporter asked Rodgers if he was vaccinated or not and he responded that he had been immunized. The report did not ask anymore questions and everyone assumed he was vaccinated. 

​​ The author did a great job of showing all sides to the story specifically because he used direct quotes from Aaron Rodgers. I felt this helped show all the sides and give a more complete story. What I really liked about this article was it gave great background information on the protocols and used things from August to help give all key information.

I think this is news as the NFL has put in many rules to try to enforce the Vaccination on players. Aaron Rodgers is a key face in the NFL and has become a household name for many people. There have not been many people to speak their feelings on this issue but Rodgers did. This is why I see this story having value for football fans throughout the country.

Henry Ruggs III was drinking and driving which led to a 23 year old woman’s death at 3:40 am on tuesday. Ruggs was driving at 156 miles per hour with a blood alcohol content twice as high as Nevada’s legal limit. When Ruggs rammed into the back of a toyota he was going 127 mph. The woman in the Toyotas name is still unreleased. Ruggs was a receiver for the Las Vegas Raiders but the Raiders have now cut him from the team hours after the accident. Ruggs is now facing charges that could put him in jail anywhere from 2 to 20 years. Ruggs was only in his second year in the NFL and was set up to be the next face of the Las Vegas Raiders. 

I thought the author did a good job of explaining the situation of the accident. I thought he used all the facts to help readers understand the severity of the situation. He also gives background information on Ruggs to help people realize who he is. The author does an overall good job of explaining bad news. 

I think this is News as drinking and driving is an important issue in our society today. Drinking and driving accidents happen all the time but when they happen with celebrities or athletes it is important to use them as an example. Henry Ruggs story is sad but with the spread of this issue it may prevent some people in society from drinking and driving. This is also big news for the NFL as one of its rising stars will most likely never play again.
