Ellen Degeneres is a very blessed, successful woman. With her own talk show, Ellen DeGeneres is one of America’s most well-known comedians, also serving as a prominent gay/lesbian role model.

I chose Ellen Degeneres because I never knew how she got where she is and I never hear anything bad about her so I wanted to know more about her and her background.

    As I said in class, A biography is different from a profile. A bio covers everything, while a profile is selective. A writer will just pick those details that support whatever frame has been established. I imagine if you looked for Ellen profiles, they could use “brave,” “trendsetter,” and “new Oprah” as their frames.
