The rate now on a 30 year mortgage is almost 7% and is now at 6.94%. Just a year ago the rate was at 3.09% now it has more than doubled today.
Earlier this year in August the rate was only at 5%. The change in percentage of Mortgage rates over the past weeks has been the highest since the 1970s.
Mortgage applications has reached an all time low in the last 25 years that was updated just a week ago. Also previously owned homes falling 1.5% in September.
