I did the comparison on the story of Elon Musk buying twitter. The leads on the story were very different I thought, the video included a lead with a number of 10% less users on twitter during the pandemic and the lead for the story was about the take over of twitter by Elon Musk.

There was a quote a in the video https://abcnews.go.com/Business/elon-musk-closes-deal-acquire-twitter-reports/story?id=92122221 said, “Elon Musk is set to run twitter by Friday” and in the story there was a similar quote https://apnews.com/article/elon-musk-twitter-inc-technology-business-san-francisco-ee1e283ff873813524ff21b0a7751b47?utm_source=homepage&utm_medium=TopNews&utm_campaign=position_01 said, “Elon Musk is taking control of twitter”.

There was some music in the audio and the video displayed many logos of twitter in the video story. I thought it was interesting that the story was so long and it was all summed up in just a 20 second video. Why would you go read a story when there is a 20 second video to watch?

The video seemed to be framed as a pro/con. Is Musk going to be good or bad for Twitter? The print version seems to focus more on Musk’s short term plans and initial moves. The video is analysis, or at least guesswork. The AP seems to be focusing on what is actually happening.

To answer your question: If you want good information (rather than chatter) you go with the source that actually provides news.
