Video: https://www.siouxlandproud.com/video/two-dead-after-early-morning-shooting/8115916/

The article lead for this story was “A shooting on the west side of Sioux City resulted in two deaths, additional documents say there was a third victim involved during the altercation.”

The video lead for the story was “An investigation is underway after two were killed in an early morning shooting in sioux city.”

I think that the video tells us more information about what time the shooting happened, where, and how many were involved. The article does tell us where, and how many were involved but it does not tell us an approximate time of day the altercation occurred.

I think both the video and the article were short as far as length. The video told more information in less time and the article told the basic information needed for the story.

The video was much more interesting to watch because it showed what the house looks like at the current moment and gives a visual of where the altercation occurred. The article didn’t have a picture of the house but it did have a picture of the suspect and it helps to put a face to the name.

I think that both the article and the video had good visuals but I did like the video better, it was more interesting.

This is a situation where you’re not going to see a lot of differences, Byanka, other than there is video in one story. (Both are from the same source, by the way.)

This is a developing story that happened on the weekend. Our local media operate with a limited staff on the weekends, which means they probably had no one to cover the story, at least not immediately. Most of them dod stories based on the police report, along with some B-Roll of the street where the shooting happened.

As the story develops you should see more difference.
