Despite the 100-93 Morningside loss, Wednesday night’s NAIA Women’s Tournament contest was an end-to-end defensive battle. It was a rare first-round knockout for the Mustangs (19-13) who were appearing in 17th tournament. Sydney Hupp led the Mustangs with a career–high 35 points.
