By Taylor Pluim—China Star Buffet is a restaurant located in Sioux City on 3201 Gordon Drive next to Advanced Auto Parts. It is a buffet style restaurant that offers mostly Chinese style cuisine.
China Star Buffet is a place that is more about quantity than anything else, which is somewhat obvious since it is a buffet.
A lot of the food you’ll find there is food that you would find at most Chinese fast-food restaurants in Sioux City, like crab rangoon and orange chicken, along with variety of other Chinese dishes. However, I would say the food there was better than the food at most of the Chinese fast food restaurants in Sioux City. And although it did have many of the same things, it did offer a wider variety than most other Chinese places.
One of the best parts about going to a buffet style restaurant like this is that after you tell your server what you want to drink you can start eating. Another perk is after you receive your bill you can pay for it at the front without having to wait on the waiting staff. The price is pretty reasonable for a buffet. Your bill will be about nine dollars for the buffet, but could be more depending on what you get to drink.
The China Star Buffet is the type of place I would recommend for people who like Chinese food and want to go to a sit-down restaurant but don’t want some of the waiting that comes along with other sit-down restaurants.
