By Thomas Godtland — Morningside University will be hosting their 2nd Annual Concert Band Festival this Thursday, April 24. Starting at 9:00am, participating bands will have the opportunity to perform in Eugene C. Eppley Memorial Auditorium and receive feedback from two adjudicators. These adjudicators will be using IHSMA (Iowa High School Music Association) large group ballots for constructive criticism and will provide a recording of the performance with comments as needed. Additionally, participants will be provided a fifteen minute clinic on stage with Morningside’s Director of Bands, Dr. Christopher Brandt. There will be six ensembles participating, and Morningside’s Wind Ensemble will have a short performance at lunch time.
