By Natalie Waller–Endless Love hit the big screen just in time for every girl to drag her boyfriend out to a sappy love story for a Valentine’s Day date. The movie features a young couple who would go through anything for the love that was sparked between them right after graduation day.
Jade, played by Gabriella Wilde, was set to go intern at a hospital and follow in her father’s foot steps in becoming a doctor. Until David, played by Alex Pettyfer, came along. All those plans changed. She then wanted to stay with David and experience the life of a young adult who was crazy in love.
Their love story did not come easy. It was practically set up for failure when Jade’s father showed no interest in keeping David around his daughter. The two had a bond that could not be broken no matter the trail that came along though.
Lindsay Martin, a student at Morningside, saw the movie. “I now have unrealistic expectations of an epic love story,” she said.
Endless Love may be an epic love story, but it doesn’t mean that people in the real world are not willing to fight for love the way David and Jade did.
