Y’all keep your chill. The cast list for Morningside’s production of Be More Chill has been announced.
Directed by Taylor Clemens with music direction by Shannon Salyards Burton, Be More Chill follows an anxious social outcast, Jeremy Heere (Ben Feeken), as he attempts to navigate the pressures of high school social life alongside his laid back best friend and 90s nostalgia buff, Michael Mell (Nathaniel Ruiz). To raise his popularity and gain the affection of sweet and hyperactive theater nerd Christine Canigula (Hope Russell), Jeremy acquires the assistance of a mysterious quantum supercomputer known as The SQUIP (Gabriel Ruiz), who is programmed to help its user achieve their goals by any means necessary.
Other roles include Seth Walker as Jake Dillinger; Timothy Laubach as Rich Goranski; Delaney Andreasen as Chloe Valentine; Abby Schmidt as Brooke Lohst; Julianne Johnston as Jenna Rolan; Roman Fude as Mr. Heere and Mr. Reyes; Wyatt Randeris as Scary Stockboy; and Dana Cutshall, Helen Wobbema, and Saline Osborn as Ensemble.
The play is schedule to run early next year from February 13 to February 23.
