Look on the bright side…

by Chloe Pieper–Remaining optimistic in college can seem like a challenge for some students. They might feel burnt out by the never-ending rounds of homework, practicing, meetings, studying, and working.

Hannah Capps said, “I find stuff to do off-campus whenever I can with my best friends. I am a senior so I tend to have a pretty busy schedule, but I work around it for the people I love most.”

With midterms coming up, students are stressing out and cramming as much information as they can. Or there are some students that are just going to “wing it.” Midterms are the bane of a student’s existence.

Garrett Anderson said, “I normally don’t feel optimistic about midterms. However, I feel better knowing that it’s over when it’s over. I won’t worry about it more than I have to and then feel relieved when it is done.”

Morningside offers resources for students to reach out to if they are struggling. Whether they need tutoring or if they need help with their mental health, Morningside can help.

Tutoring services are found on the second floor in the library with a broad range of topics to assist students that are struggling. These topics include writing, statistics, nursing, anatomy, chemistry, and more.
