Christmas at Morningside

By Jadyn Steffen– Christmas at Morningside is coming up Thursday and Friday this week and every single one of the band and choir members have been practicing diligently to give the audience the absolute best experience.

This year’s performance is expected to be different from any other Christmas at Morningside performance that we have ever seen before!

For starters, the event is being held over two separate days for the first time. There will also be new lighting and technology. Plus, the choir members will be making their way into the crowd to interact with the audience members, giving them an all-inclusive experience. On top of it all, a special guest instrumentalist will be playing nothing other than the bag-pipes!

Instrumentalist Rory Bredlow says, “Honestly I have put so much time into learning the timpani part for this year and rehearsals have been going great. I think the band and choirs are blending together perfectly and I’m expecting the performances to be amazing! This is going to be my first Christmas at Morningside performance and I’ve heard a lot of good things, so I’m really excited.”

Vocalist Sidnie Baier says, ”I think so far Christmas at Morningside is going pretty well. I haven’t gotten to be a part of this production before and I am really excited to see how our performance turns out and I think the hours of practice we have put in will definitely be worth it!”

Everyone seems very excited for the event this year, especially since Christmas at Morningside looked a lot different than usual last year due to COVID-19. I would definitely recommend grabbing your tickets as soon as you can! This year’s Christmas at Morningside is going to be one of the best yet and you’re not going to want to miss it!
