Midland Zoo Suffers Loss

The Midland Zoo in Townsville suffered a loss earlier today. The zoo lost a 16-year old Polar Bear named Homer, passed away earlier today. The veterinary staff says, “Homer was a very curious and playful polar bear and we will miss him terribly.”  The zoo is looking into what happened and will fix whatever happens.

Polar Bears have thrived in the zoo since 1985, our unique exhibit allows the bears to engage in natural behaviors. Such actions including playing in manufactured snow, digging in gravel, and hunting trout.

The zoo has recovered from 10-year-old bobcat and a 6 year-old giraffe. The zoo has been recovering and investigating the deaths.
