Dylan Hamil is a twenty year old junior transfer student from Rockford, Illinois. Dylan first attended Rock Valley Community College in Rockford before coming to Morningside as a marketing major. Dylan is a volleyball player as well as on the bowling team for Morningside. He is a right side hitter on the volleyball court and has bowled a couple of 300’s in his life!

Dylan has plenty of hobbies to keep him busy in his spare time. He loves to golf and has a handicap of 8, which is not too shabby! He also loves to fish and play softball. When fishing, he doesn’t necessarily fish for anything specific, just whatever is biting which is usually bass or blue gail.

When asked what his favorite show was, Dylan answered, Outer Banks. He also mentioned that his favorite character on the show was John B or JJ. Dylan was also faced with the difficult question, would you rather be a bee in a beehive or an ant in an anthill? The answer took some deliberating but he eventually decided to be an ant in an anthill because he wanted to have the strength of an ant rather than to fly like a bee. Part of the reason he chose this is because he comes from a family of bodybuilders and his dad as well as his uncle competed against Arnold Schwarzenegger.

Dylan Hamil is a guy who has a lot of different hobbies and is multi-talented. He is excited for the semester and the new experiences here at Morningside. When Dylan was asked to give some words of wisdom to end this interview he said, “live in the moment”, and that is exactly what Dylan does.
