Nebraska made the choice to fire Scott Frost on Sunday.
The decision to fire Scott had been made after he had started 1-2 this season and lost to Sunbelt conference team Georgia Southern 45-42. Getting rid of Scott Frost will cost Nebraska the whole 15 million on his contract, instead of waiting until after October 1, where the buyout drop would have occurred. The contract would have went from 15 million to 7.5 million.

After this season the Nebraska Huskers could perhaps be on another coaching search. The Job is not permanent by the end of the season Nebraska will be the earliest team on the market for a new head coach. This will make hiring the next coach the easiest and to get a good candidate for the job, that we all hope for in the future.
With there being no immediate hire for Nebraska, there are plenty of names out there for who could be the potential candidates for Nebraskas next head coach.
