Shooting Spree Leaves 4 Dead in Memphis and Paralyzes City

Yesterday september 7th a group of mass shootings took place in memphis and lead to the death of 4 people and injuring 3 more. authorities on a feverish police manhunt that effectively closed down Tennessee’s second-largest city until the police announced late Wednesday night that they had captured the 19 year old kid.

The shooter Ezekiel Kelly, was expected to face numerous felony charges and was being taken to jail to be formally booked. So while he was released he thought it was a good idea to take to facebook live and began to shoot up several places around memphis. He proceeded to wreck his car and then pull a woman out of her car at gun point and take her car and continue the shooting and it was found out that the mayor said that “he was sentenced to three years in prison after pleading guilty to a lesser charge, aggravated assault, but served only 11 months and was released from prison in March. If Mr. Kelly served his full three-year sentence, he would still be in prison today and four of our fellow citizens would still be alive” it kind of crazy how the justice system works and how easy it is to get out of serious charges.

U.S. Life Expectancy Falls Again in ‘Historic’ Setback.

In 2020 and 2021, The average life expectancy of Americans has had the sharpest fall in those 2 years then they have in the past 100 years. Which should be a huge wake up call throughout the whole covid 19 outbreak.

It was reported wednesday that in 2021 the average life expectancy in america was 76 years old, and ti has shown that since 2019 3 years has fallen off that expectancy list when americans on average could live to be 79 years old. The life expectancy fall has been particularly harsh to the Native Americans and Alaska Natives. The National Center for Health Statistics stated that in 2020 Average life expectancy was shortened by 4 years. Currently there is a cumulative decline in life expectancy years since covid 19, on average it is more then 6.5 years. And in the Native Americans and Alaska Native communities it has brought the life expectancy down to 65 years old . that was the national life expectancy for all americans in 1944.

However, the coronavirus isn’t the sole reason of the life expectancy down fall. Since covid hit so hard around the globe here in the us there has been a rise in in accidental deaths and drug overdoses which was taken into factor in the research, as well as deaths from heart disease, chronic liver disease and cirrhosis. But with the combination of covid and pre-existing health problems aries with low incomes and poor access to health care left left Native Americans and Alaska Natives particularly vulnerable to the virus. With this it was found that One in seven Native Americans and Alaska Natives has diabetes which is the highest among all racial and ethnic groups. But the rest of the US aren’t innocent where most of the us is struggling from obesity and or excess weight.

“There is no doubt Covid was a contributor to the increase in mortality during the last couple of years, but it didn’t start these problems — it made everything that much worse,” Average life expectancy in these populations is now “lower than that of every country in the Americas except Haiti, which is astounding,”
