Movie Review: The Wedding Ringer

poster_105337By Dominique Swanson—‘The Wedding Ringer’ starts as a light-hearted comedy that unfolds into a story of deep friendship, romance, and bromance.

Josh Gad plays an awkward husband-to-be that is in need of a best man and groomsmen. Kevin Hart plays the owner of a company that provides such services and steps in to save the day.

Just as any Kevin Heart film, this movie was entertaining and keeps you laughing throughout. This movie has an appeal to a wide range of humor tastes, but it not for everyone.

You must be able to enjoy inappropriate and sometimes unrealistic humorous situations in order to like this movie. In general, this movie appeals to a younger audience, as most of the humor is directed towards them.

For the most part this movie turned out to be unexpectedly funny, surpassing the expectations of many viewers.

The cast all together is unexpected. Many of the characters introduced did not seem like they would bring much to the table but ended up providing an interesting dynamic to the cast.

This is definitely not a family-film and, or even something to watch with your parents. However, if you are looking for an easy watch and some cheap laughs, this is the movie for you.
