t’s interesting to know that the same story can be perceived two different ways judging by how the news is given. Mark Zukenbrug is trying to turn facebook into the metaverse, but the media handles the story a little differently than the news article. 

In the news article that I read, Mark Zukenburg is trying to make facebook the metaverse for the future. They tell this is an essay almost format by telling us exactly what happened in the timeline of it all. By doing this it felt as the story was on a more complicated topic. Also with the news article the quotes that were added I didn’t feel the connection as deeply as I did in the media’s story. 

In the media story, there was more of a story told about how the metaverse is a cover up for facebook’s problems going on. It told more of a story of how the metaverse has nothing to do with anything other than covering up the issues inside the company. The questions asked to the people are about facebook and how it’s handling things and not about the metaverse itself. It told a different story in a way than I just heard on the news. 

Reading and hearing the story showed me that you can come out with two completely different outlooks on something when you learn it in different ways. News outlets take different viewpoints on stories and that is something I learned through this assignment.
