Nick Brincks, who ran unopposed, is going to be Morningside’s first Director of Communications for student government. Brincks is a junior mass communications major. The Director of Communications position is a new position that will start next school year. This position will include handing the social media, public relations, and other media outlets to reach students. Brincks campaigned with the mindset, “Don’t vote for me because I’m the only one running. Vote for me because I can do the job well.”
Jack O’Brien was elected student advocate. O’Brien is a freshman majoring in American History, Political Science, and Law. O’Brien said his leadership tactics include leading and following. He believes, “You need someone who will listen to you, represent your interests, and defend your concerns.”
