By Diego Ocando – The Morningside University Campus Media is one of the most dynamic and hands-on student groups on campus. The club is open to all students regardless of major or experience level. What makes the club special is the variety of opportunities it offers. Students have the chance to run the campus radio station, Fusion 93 KMSC, as on-air hosts, create playlists, run live shows, or learn how to manage audio equipment. They can explore the TV side of the club through Mustang TV, either helping behind the scenes or stepping in front of the camera as an anchor for the weekly live broadcast, where the team reports the biggest news happening around Morningside.
The club also collaborates with The Collegian Reporter, the school newspaper. It provides students with the opportunity to write articles, report on campus events, and conduct interviews with students and faculty. Those who enjoy digital creativity can help run the club’s social media accounts by making TikToks, short YouTube videos, graphics, or promotional content for campus events. It’s a space where students can try all things multimedia: photography, editing, scriptwriting, storytelling, producing, hosting, event coverage and more
If any of that sounds enticing, Campus Media is always looking for new members. If you have curiosity and a willingness to try something new, we’ve got a place for you here. Stop by the studio, talk to any member, or reach out to Leslie Werden
Come join us, learn something new, and be part of the team that tells Morningside’s stories. We’d love to have you.
