By Dayne Davis – On Tuesday, April 8, 2025, Morningside Softball hosted the Concordia Bulldogs. The Mustangs allowed only one run across both games of the doubleheader, sweeping Concordia with scores of 8-0 and 7-1.
In Game 1, Adeline Fliege pitched a complete game in just 5 innings. This marks the freshman’s second complete game of the week. She concluded the game with 2 strikeouts, while the Bulldogs managed only a .211 batting average against her.

Paige Schuster and Mackenzi Harrel each scored 2 runs in Game 1. They both totaled 5 hits apiece over the two games, with Harrel hitting a home run. Additionally, Harrel accumulated 4 RBIs across both games.
Josie Hernandez finished the day with 2 hits, 2 RBIs, and 1 run on just 3 at-bats. Jenna Skradski also delivered impressive statistics during the doubleheader, hitting a homerun, scoring twice, and totaled 3 RBIs.

Morgan Secora had an outstanding day both on the mound and at the plate. She pitched a complete game, recording 8 strikeouts and allowing only 1 run. Secora complemented her impressive pitching performance by hitting a huge grand slam deep into center field early in Game 2.
The Mustangs are home this weekend (April 19), hosting Dordt for a double-header starting at 3pm at the Elizabeth and Irving J. Jensen Softball Complex.
