‘Uncharted’ jumps to the big screen

by Payton Miller–The long-awaited adventure that is Uncharted hit theaters on February 8th, and fans of the original video games have got a lot to say about the adaptation.

Tom Holland has taken a step away from the friendly neighborhood hero to play a treasure hunting pickpocket, a side of Holland that fans have never seen before. After playing such an iconic role, it is hard to make the transition from the lighthearted Peter Parker to the more solemn character of Nathaniel Drake.

Players of the original Uncharted video game may feel as if they have been thrown into the action once again. The movie maintains the atmosphere of the game while pulling in the viewer to the originality of the new screenplay.

I would recommend this movie to longtime fans and newcomers to the story. The characters do a wonderful job of creating great onscreen chemistry and pulling viewers into the action.

This film is the perfect mix of action/adventure and sharp wit humor. If you’re looking for something to do later tonight, I recommend grabbing some popcorn and settling down to watch Uncharted.
