By Jadyn Steffen– With finals right around the corner, Morningside students are finding their stress levels are through the roof. When it comes to finally pushing through this much dreaded week, a couple students offered their input on the ways they cope with the lack of motivation and anxiety.
Sophomore Ana Conover says, “I cope with all the craziness of finals by hanging out with friends and listening to music, but when it comes time to get things done, I shut out all distractions and open my laptop until all my assignments and studying is completed.”
Freshman Bayle Glassmaker says, “I’ve never had to experience anything as stressful as college finals, but when it comes time to study, I always grab all my friends and we study together, that way I’m less hard on myself and my friends help me find ways to remember things for the test.”
Freshman Tyson Rinkol says, “Honestly I usually don’t stress about finals too much, but I prepare for finals best when I don’t overthink it and look over old tests and assignments that we’ve completed before.”
So, whether you’re the type of person who studies best with a group of friends or if you focus better working all on your own, just know everyone else is in the struggle with you. Finals might be super stressful, but you can do anything you put your mind to. It will all pay off in the end!
