Getting to know Elizabeth Obermeier

Elizabeth Obermeier grew up in Indianola, IA and attended Indianola High School. She decided to go to Morningside after visiting along with her sister while she was in the eighth grade and discovered that there was a Dairy Queen across the street so she would be able to get a blizzard everyday. In the end, she revisited Morningside and decided it would be a great place for her.

Today, Elizabeth is a senior triple major in Graphic Design, Marketing, and Business Administration. Along with this, she was also a part of the Marching Band for her first three years playing the Alto Saxophone and the Bassoon. This year, she will be a member of the choir. You can find her on campus working with the telethon for institutional advancement as well! After college, Elizabeth plans to find a job in a bigger midwestern city such as Omaha, Kansas City, or Chicago in order to find a well paying job.

Outside of school, she enjoys spending time with her friends and getting half price appetizers at Applebee’s, wasting time on TikTok, and doing creative things such as drawing. Over the summer, she worked on a construction crew and last semester she was an intern at Northwestern Mutual Marketing as a recruiting intern.
