Read and Analyze a Press Release

• Compare the release to stories you have written in this class. How are they alike and different?

Compared to other stories I have written in this class, this press release was extremely detailed. It included a lot of data backing the research along with multiple different sections describing what needed to be told.

• Who is the audience for the release?

The audience for this release was anyone and everyone. It shared information about how the pandemic has changed the way we use healthcare. If I had to pick a specific audience I would say healthcare workers as well as readers ages 20+ would be interested in this press release.

• What is the message and purpose? Are they clearly stated?

The purpose was to inform people how healthcare has changed since the pandemic. I do not believe this has been clearly stated but it can be discovered while reading.

• What question do you have that aren’t answered?

I would like to know more about who specifically was interviewed rather than it just stating “among those interviewed.”

News Comment #13

Did you experience a pandemic glow up? Sitting at home for days on end made many people think about what made them happy. Within this discovery people chose to physically, mentally, and spiritually work on themselves for the better. The biggest thing many people took away from the pandemic according to those interviewed in this article was how to take breaks and spend time with yourself. Make sure to take at least thirty minutes a day to do something for yourself that makes you happy.
