Tobias’ Story

Tobias Sadler was born and raised in Augsburg Germany. He dreamed about studying abroad because his mother worked at an international company and always travelled a lot. Ever since he was young he was fascinated with traveling and exploring other cultures. In addition to that, his passion for soccer accompanied him his entire life. As the talented Goalkeeper that he was, when he got an offer for a soccer scholarship at Morningside University, he knew this was his designated pathway. Today, Sadler is a Senior at Morningside. He settled in very well in the community. He is a leader in his soccer team, he lives off campus in his first own house and has also bought his first car recently all here in Sioux City. Given this, one can state that Sadler is a very responsible and mature individual at an early age of just 21 years.

One and a half years ago Sadler signed up to study abroad in Australia. “This was supposed to be the peak of my college experience and then Covid-19 ruined everything”, he adds. Ever since the pandemic, Australia was completely shut down and no foreigner was let into the country. Nevertheless, Sadler is making the best out of the situation. “The US is still a lot better than Germany”, he continues, “at least there are no restrictions due to the Corona Virus here in Sioux City”. Back home in Germany, he reports, students are apparently stressed out from the lockdowns and the continuous switching from online class to in-person class.

Here at Morningside Sadler is studying business with an emphasis on Management. He is out for success! He has proven many times that he has what it takes to conquer the business world, both as an athlete and as a student. He continuously features the Dean’s List, lead his team to two Gpac titles and after graduating next year he will have the world at his feet.
