Josh Norman, a cornerback for the Washington Redskins that was signed this offseason to a 4-year, 75 million dollar contract, is being criticized immensely for not covering star wide receiver Antonio Brown of the Pittsburgh Steelers. Norman is being criticized mostly by players in the NFL saying that if he is the best cornerback in the NFL, he should be able to guard more then just one side of the field. He should be able to leave the left side of the field and follow star receivers all over the field as they break the huddle for the play. I think that this article is pretty good, mostly because of the fact that it interest me and also shows you and inside of the world of sports from the player perspective. I also really like this article because I watched the football game and I was super confused with why Norman was not on the same side of the field as Brown ever. So overall this article was pretty good and I would definitely recommend it to any football fan.

Josh Norman… who was… (not that was)

Again, focus on how the story is written. You’re still focused on your reactions to the content of the story. The “player perspective” angle may be OK, but I’d want to hear what Norman says. Sports reporting does this well because players are forced to do press conferences. Real people and politicians aren’t. Sports reporting is becoming the new celebrity journalism. Do you agree?
