Yesterday, a Texaco gasoline truck overturned on 48th street and Correctionville road. A real catastrophe for people in the small area outside of town.

The gas flooded the streets and well as the ditches and sewer openings. It was investigated that the gas traveled as far as two blocks away.

The accident was pretty serious as cars were being rerouted through side streets by the first responding police on the scene. No deaths or injuries were reported at the scene.

Besides the mayhem on the streets, four families around the accident were evacuated from their homes due to the gas invested sewer-line.
