Music bed was a good thought. Initially I didn’t think it quite worked, but when I thought about this being a holiday period, these three stories could work together as a series of PSAs (rather than news). More upbeat (yet still generic) music is more the norm for news/sports.
The first time through I didn’t catch the switch from one story to the next. More obvious transitions. And once I started thinking about these working together, maybe an indication of that right at the top: “There are many ways to give back to the community. Here’s three suggestions.” Kind of blunt, but it could be finessed.
