Yesterday, in Sioux City, a ban on hand held radar guns was put into effect.

This is due to state troopers developing cancer over the years due to exposure announced by Adam Smith the spokesperson. The ban will be issued right away for 70 radar guns and officers will now use mounted detectors on the vehicle. The issue may be temporary after this new situation is now under review.
