Honors Society Hosts Halloween Event

by Christina Vazquez–Kappa Delta Pi, the international honor society in education, is hosting a Trick-or-Treat at Morningside College. This event, which will be held from 5-7 pm Halloween night, brings together different student groups on campus to provide candy and activities at booths for local children to enjoy.

The Trick-or-Treat was begun in 2016 by the local Kappa Delta Pi chapter. “This is a unique way for the society to be more involved in the community while providing a safe and enjoyable environment for the kids,” says Paige Versluis, heading up the organization of the event this year.

Every student group participating in the event will not only have candy to pass out to the trick-or-treaters, but will also have some sort of game or activity at each booth. Many campus groups are participating in the event, including Art Club, Ag Club, the Professional Health Club, and Chemistry Club.

“We have been looking at everything we did last year and adding our own new ideas to make the event a success,” says Versluis. “I am very excited to see everything this event can grow into, not only this year but for years to come.”
