MAC attends NACA

(03.03.2017) By Rachel Potter — Morningside Activities Counsel, MAC, will be attending the National Association for Campus Activities (NACA) from March 30 until April 2 in St. Paul, Minn.

The four current MAC executives, along with their advisor, will pick five students they think would best benefit to attend NACA with them this year. The students, whose grade levels may vary, will be selected from several applications, after careful consideration.

NACA is important for Morningside to attend because it is where most of the school’s largest events are booked. MAC is able to save the school extra costs by working with other colleges to book events around the same time as each other.

Allie Vanhouten, a junior, said, “I’m excited to be chosen because I hope to learn more about MAC and some behind the scenes things that go on.” Allie will be running for the Public Relations executive position next year in MAC.

Tori Anderson, a sophomore, said, “Being chosen meant so much because this organization means a lot to me, and I would love to be one of the people to help bring joy and entertainment to everyone else on campus!” Tori will be running for Vice President of MAC next year.
