Restaurant Review: Little Chicago Deli

indexBy Taylor Pluim—Little Chicago Deli is a small, locally owned restaurant located on 525 4th street in downtown Sioux City. It is mostly known for its sandwiches, but they also offer a few other choices such as chicken and soup.

The deli isn’t exactly fancy or anything, but it does offer good, quality sandwiches for a reasonable price. The sandwiches range from a ham and cheese sandwich to a Philly cheese-steak. Once your sandwich is picked out, they ask you what else you would like to include on it, such as tomato, onion, etc.

The prices for a sandwich range from around five to eight dollars, which is about the same as the Subway and Jimmy John’s franchise. However, if you want anything like fries or soup for a side, it’s extra.

But from experience, the fries are what stand out the most about the restaurant and are definitely worth paying a little extra for. They are the perfect amount of crispy on the outside mixed with fluffy on the inside. So even if you’re not in the mood for a sandwich and thinking about hitting up McDonalds, I recommend you try Little Chicago Deli first.

Overall, the Little Chicago Deli gets about an 8/10. The prices may be a little bit high for a local sandwich shop. However, if you’re looking for a pleasant little restaurant for a quick bite to eat, then the Deli is a good place to check out. The food is good and it’s delivered fairly quick to your table. I would put this place on the list of Sioux City’s finest, at least for a local restaurant.
