News Comment 8-27

August 26th, 2020

The News that I decided to comment on is about the NBA basketball team the Bucks. The team as a whole decided boycott the game and not come out to play their game 5 match against the Orland Magic. Bucks players said they wanted justice for Jacob Blake who was living in Kenosha, Wisconsin because he was shoot by a cop. This cause the team to boycott the game and make the NBA reschedule the game without giving any penalty to the bucks for doing this. After reading this it made me realize that the person writing this had to have a source inside the NBA bubble or he was watching it from his home outside the Bubble to get the story out so fast. It is a good story because he gives reasons for why the Bucks team did this without the Orland Magic or the NBA knowing. It really makes you think that having actually players saying something can really back up your story an give greater in site on why they did this on such short notice.

Interview

August 26th, 2020

During class I interviewed TJ he was with Bryson they both are roommates that play on the Mens basketball team here at Morningside. TJ is from Iowa while Bryson is from Nebraska they both seem to like Morningside and the team they play on. TJ likes to play baseball on his spare time to help decouple his game more because there are always ways to improve any aspect of your game he says. He also says that the cafe food is ok here compared to me who transferred in and said it was way better than what I had at my other school. He wishes that a school in California would have offered him to play his sport because he like the weather out there and is a change of peace from being so close to home.
