By Derek Krayenhagen—In a feel-good comedy about a rich man who has to learn the “hard knocks” of what jail time will be like, Will Ferrell and Kevin Hart star in this goofy comedy. Get Hard will you leave you laughing throughout the movie and wondering how Etan Cohen and Adam McKay got a direct line to your funny bone.
Get Hard is currently playing in theatres all around. With a run time of an hour and forty minutes, Get Hard doesn’t get in the way of itself; it doesn’t outlive its welcome. Many comedies that come out try too hard and go for “cheap” laughs but Get Hard stays true to its story and makes the laughs look more effortless.
Kevin Hart and Will Ferrell are the obvious bright spots in the movie but a very small cameo by John Mayer gave him the nickname “King of the Cameo”
Overall, Get Hard is just another goofy comedy but at least it’s one that doesn’t go too far. It is a great weekend movie to see with your buddies that will keep you laughing long after you leave the theater, plus it will give you a brand new movie to quote along with.
