Wednesday was a wild night in Allee Gym as the Mustangs played host to GPAC nemesis Northwestern. The Mustangs came away with two big wins.
The women bested an unbeaten Red Raiders squad 90-79, and the men made it look easy as they won by 32, 97-65.
The Mustang women, ranked 10th nationally in the latest NAIA Division II poll, climbed to 16-5 overall and 7-4 in the GPAC. Morningside remained in fifth place in the league standings, one-half game out of fourth place behind Midland (8-4).
The men climbed to 14-7 on the season. The Mustangs improved to 8-3 in the GPAC to remain in fourth place in the league standings, one-half game behind Midland (9-3).
