The top-ranked Mustangs took it to the wire in their season debut. Balanced scoring and a big safety gave them the win over #3 Northwestern 30-29.
Isaac Pingel’s third-quarter sack in the west Roberts Stadium endzone ended up being the difference. QB Joe Dolincheck threw for three touchdowns and 351 yards.
Next up for the Mustangs is Dordt, Sept. 10 at 6 pm in Sioux Center.
