One Good Conversation

In an interview with Luc Mai, a Morningside University student, I discovered what college life was like during the COVID-19 pandemic from another students view. At the start of the pandemic, Luc was initially worried, being from Europe he was in the tough situation of deciding to stay here in the United States or head home as things began to get worse. As panic began on social media, Luc made the decision to fly home in case borders began to close. Things got worse in European countries before it got here to the U.S. He was lucky as some of his friends that stayed in the U.S. were stuck here as borders began to close and flight travel became limited.

On the bright side of things, there is a seven hour time difference from here in Sioux City to where Luc was located in Europe. This made schooling more relaxed for him as he was able to go about his day in as normal of a manner as possible and do his school work and Zoom into classes at later in his day.
