My name is Jaden Carney from Adair, Iowa. I study Political Science with a Minor in Agricultural Communications here at Morningside. I grew up with my little sister Reagan, along with our mom and dad, and my dog Bailey, a Chocolate Lab.
Here at Morningside, I am involved in the Colonel “Bud” Day Center for Civic Engagement which house the Morningside Poll. Currently, we are working on getting people registered to vote, promoting the Day Center, and working on the upcoming 2022 mid-terms. On campus, I am also involved with the Morningside Civic Union, Morningside Residence Life, Morningside University Republicans, and Active Minds.
During my free time when I am not on campus, I like to go hiking, traveling, cooking, going to Political Rally’s and Events, seeing my cows and pigs, and hanging out with my family and friends. I am also a 4H Leader for a 4H Club in Adair, and I also serve on my county’s Youth Committee, which is in charge of scheduling events and shows for the 4H Clubs.
